With more time being spent at home, I find myself spending more time taking care of myself. Can I get an amen. These last few months I’ve really focused on improving my hair care routine and putting down the heating tools. I get so many questions on what I do to keep my hair shiny and healthy so I’m taking you along my hair care routine. I love to keep things extremely simple and fuss-free because who wants to spend hours doing their hair.
I wash my hair once a week with Olapex’s No. 4 and No. 5 Shampoo and Conditioner. I’ve been using it since February and it has helped repair my hair, keeping it so so healthy. The consistency and formula of the shampoo and conditioner are done well and feel so luxurious. It feels amazing to have a “salon experience” right at home. The products are free of sulfates, phthalates, DEA (diethanolamine), aldehydes, formaldehyde, gluten, parabens making it super safe for all hair types.
After washing my hair, I apply Olapex No. 7 aka the Bonding Oil. It is amazing and it’s really the secret to getting super shiny hair. When applying, I make sure to concentrate the product on the bottom half of my hair and ends. Whatever is left over, I’ll run through my roots. But I truly love this product and it is such a game-changer. It also works as a UV and heat protectant which is amazing.
After applying the oil, I either let my hair air dry or I’ll blow dry it. It really depends on my mood hahaa. But these are really the only products I currently use on my hair. When I say that I keep it simple, I mean simple. Throughout the week, I’ll use dry shampoo for a little refresh and I brush my hair with a wide-tooth comb. I’ve also found that keeping the brushing to a minimum has helped tremendously.
