We’ve all heard it before. Cruises are one of the best ways to vacay and I couldn’t agree more! Last week my girlfriends and I headed to the Bahamas on Royal Caribbean’s Navigator of the Seas to celebrate a graduation and birthday! We did the usual, entered into millions of food comas, soaked in a little too much sun, drank and napped like there was no tomorrow.
I wanted to share details of the trip in case you guys are thinking of taking a cruise this summer! I’d truly encourage it especially if you’ve never been on Royal Caribbean. The attention to detail on the cruise left me speechless and the organization from the minute you got to the port to the minute you got back was impeccable. It made the whole experience absolutely amazing!
Navigator of the Seas
We embarked on the 3-Nights option where we left on Friday and came back on a Monday. Perfect if you’re crunched on time.
The ship made two stops. The first one was at Perfect Day at Coco Cay & the second one was to Nassau, Bahamas.
The excursion we did at Coco Cay was the Thrill Waterpark. But I definitely think that you don’t even have to book an excursion if you’re looking to relax. The whole island is just beautiful and has plenty of lounge chairs, bars, places to eat, a lagoon, and a pool.
The excursion we did at Nassau was Pearl Island. This excursion was basically a mini trip to a private island, again where we relaxed, lunch was provided, and they had water activities like snorkeling, kayaking, canoeing, etc. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Words can’t begin to describe how much I fell in love with this island. The excursion had maybe ten people in total. So it felt like we had the island all to ourselves. It was breathtaking.
Book your excursions & buy your drink package prior to the cruise. You’ll save some mula.
If you happen to go on Navigator of the Seas, definitely check out the bar, Bamboo Room on Deck 5. It had some of the best drinks on the ship and the sweetest staff.
