A Day in Coral Gables

A Day in Coral Gables

Hello! It’s been way too long and I’ve missed writing on here so much. But January has been such a hectic month for Alex and I. Between the wedding, honeymoon, and finalizing things with our home, I’m finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel lol. Okay okay I’m being super dramatic but seriously! I’m done rambling on. Let’s have some fun!

Coral Gables: City Filled With Beauty

We spent the first week of the year in Coral Gables, being tourists in our city. Many of you already know this but Coral Gables is filled with so much beauty and history. Alex and I take staycations pretty often but this one has probably been my absolute favorite! I wanted to share a few of the places we went to plus a few you can’t miss when visiting here. And I encourage you guys to go out and really get to know your cities. Miami is so BIG. I’ve lived here my whole life and I’m still seeing things and having experiences I’ve never had before.

Merrick House

Merrick House

Okay so this was the one we weren’t able to do because they’re only open on the weekends. But I thought it was so cool! The Merrick House belonged to the city founder, George Merrick back in the 1920s. Today it’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Tours take place on Saturdays and Sundays at 1, 2, and 3PM. Admission is $5 and they only take cash.

Miracle Mile

This one kind of feels like an obvious one. But if I’m being real, I had only been to Miracle Mile once and it was on nye to eat at Benihana lol. So this time around, we actually got to walk around, see all the cute shops, eat at a few of the restaurants there. Plus if you’re getting married, Miracle Mile is heaven for brides. They have a ton of wedding dress shops. They have a Barnes and Noble! I don’t know about you guys but something I love to do is cuddle up with a coffee in one hand and a book (magazine let’s be real) on the other one.

Cutest Airbnb

We found this Airbnb and loved it so much! It’s a studio and it’s attached to a house but it has its own entrance. It’s super private and was so affordable compared to hotels nearby. It was a 10-minute drive from Coral Gables so it was super close too. I’ll link it right here!

Hope you guys liked this style of post! I had so much fun writing it. Keep up with me right here and on my Instagram. Love you guys! Till next time!

Yes! I had no idea they had that huge tree there! And that small park that they decorated for Christmas. It’s so cute! So glad you liked it. ❤️
